Sunday 20th May 2007 - It has taken far too long but at last the replacement cable came today for my bird box camera. So the LIVE feed from inside the box is back up and running. As you can see from the image the birds look almost ready to leave the nest. I have not managed to see how many I have in the box. I hope to get a better look tomorrow.
Tuesday 22nd May 2007 - This evening when I came back from work I was very sad to see that all the chicks had died. Im not too sure why this has happened as everything seemed to be going well. I can only think it just got too hot for them perhaps? It’s heart braking when you see Mum and Dad going into the box to try and wake them up too feed. Later this evening I will clean the box out and perhaps recite the box just in case it was the heat in the hope of late nesting.
Wednesday 23rd May 2007 - This afternoon I have resisted the next box. Below are the pictures of were it used to be and were it is know. I just wonder if the box is too low know. If you have any commtans please do e-mail them to me. In the first picture I would say the box is around 6 foot from the ground. It was about 7 to 8 were it used to be.
I think I will leave the box at its new position and see if there our any late nesters. I don’t really hold much hope on this. But if not I will be back next year which I hope will bring more fun and games. If the box dos start to get used I will be updating this page.
